Your Impact

Drive revenue growth by shaping and executing a business development strategy aligned with market conditions and organizational priorities.

Identify, qualify, and convert opportunities across our services for environmental assessment, permitting, remediation, geotechnical engineering, and occupational hygiene; in addition to expanding opportunities across our priority markets, energy, government and municipal, power, mining, water, and ports.

Lead market and competitive analysis, co‑chair Strategic Growth Committees, manage a disciplined regional pipeline, and take personal ownership of “must‑win” pursuits through robust capture planning.

Build and deepen relationships with clients, regulators, industry partners, and community stakeholders to expand WSP’s influence and market presence.

Lead high‑value client reviews, develop tools to showcase WSP’s comprehensive capabilities, and act as a trusted advisor who aligns client needs with impactful solutions.

Represent WSP at key industry events, conferences, and professional associations to strengthen visibility and trust.

Foster strong internal alignment by partnering with Indigenous Relations on key partnerships and collaborating with technical and operational leaders to advance competitive pursuits.

Enable enterprise‑wide growth by creating effective “front‑door” strategies, identifying cross‑selling pathways, and tracking client spend to reveal new opportunities.

Mentor teams in best‑in‑class business development practices, elevating proposal quality and client engagement.

Strengthen WSP’s market leadership through thought leadership, strategic networking, and outreach that positions WSP as the consultant of choice.

Support digital marketing, collateral development, and targeted campaigns that reinforce WSP’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and exceptional client service.

Champion a collaborative, solutions‑oriented approach that unites teams, breaks down barriers, and builds shared momentum across the business.

Accelerate market capture and deliver strong commercial performance by driving revenue growth, increasing pipeline and backlog, expanding client engagement, and elevating quantitative and qualitative client feedback.

The Skills That Set You Apart

10–20+ years of experience in demonstrated business development success.

Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, regulators, and industry partners.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.

Experience leading teams and mentoring staff.

Proven track record in client development, capture planning, and securing opportunities.
