Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $74,297 to $99,063 + a performance-based incentive.

Location
  • Roles can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa or from one of our Community Hubs located in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal, Brossard, Laval, Calgary, Halifax, Vancouver, or Quebec City.
  • Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, currently requiring employees to work in the office 2 days per week.
  • Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Team & Job Overview

The Mid-Market Group is looking for Relationship Managers to join our growing team of professionals across Canada. We are hiring across regions and proactively developing a talent pool for near-term and future opportunities. You will report to the relevant Regional Director and contribute to execution of EDC’s 2030 corporate plan. Your goal is to help entrepreneurs grow their exports and energize the Canadian economy.

You will prospect, grow, maintain and manage a portfolio of medium-sized clients and prospects. You will research and assess potential EDC clients, build trust-based relationships, evaluate cross-selling opportunities, coordinate EDC resources to offer product solutions, and provide predictable customer service. You will promote EDC total value offering in the region through regular communication with financial intermediaries and other influential parties and by leveraging EDC’s global network to identify potential clients.

You will build connections with bright minds in Canada and around the world to support the success of EDC’s clients. We offer a hybrid work environment to support productivity (road, office, or home).

What You Will Be Doing
  • Identifies and qualifies potential customers and promotes the full value proposition available to exporters.
  • Assesses export financing, risk management or other needs and matches solutions.
  • Manages an assigned portfolio of accounts and develops territory strategies and account plans.
  • Manages the progression of designated portfolio pipelines and helps facilitate transactions where appropriate.
  • Monitors the progression of pipeline and is involved in transaction facilitation where appropriate.
  • Executes projects, initiatives and tasks related to the fulfillment of the market coverage mandate.
  • Develops strategies and plans for full market coverage of the designated territory, integrated with sector and country strategies.
