Parish Administrator, St. George-in--Pines, Diocese
About the Role
St. George-in-the-Pines Anglican Church is seeking a Parish Administrator to provide reliable, organized, and welcoming administrative support for parish life. This role supports the smooth day-to-day functioning of the church and helps clergy, wardens, staff, and volunteers carry out worship, ministry, and community outreach.
The Parish Administrator serves as a primary point of contact for parish communications and office administration. The role supports preparation for worship, maintains key administrative systems, and helps ensure the church office remains organized and welcoming for parishioners, volunteers, and visitors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing parish communications including email inquiries, phone messages, and general reception
- Preparing Sunday service bulletins and assisting with weekly worship preparation
- Maintaining parish records, calendars, and administrative systems
- Supporting financial administration including deposits and basic record keeping
- Assisting with parish communications such as email newsletters, social media updates, and announcements
Sunday responsibilities include:
- Preparing and organizing service bulletins before worship
- Recording weekly attendance for parishioners and guests
- Assisting with the secure counting and recording of donations
- Coordinating coffee hour and helping ensure hospitality needs are met
- Helping ensure the church and coffee area are tidied after the service
The Parish Administrator reports to the Rector and works closely with clergy, wardens, staff, and volunteers to support the life and rhythms of the parish.

Required QualificationsThe ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in an administrative or office role
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort using digital tools such as email systems, Google Workspace, social media platforms, and simple design tools like Canva
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with clergy, staff, and volunteers

Salary and Expected Hours of WorkCompensation is $20 per hour.
This is a part-time position with:
- A minimum guarantee of 20 hours per week
- The possibility of additional hours up to approximately 25 hours depending on parish needs
- A 12-month contract with the possibility of renewal
- Regular weekday office hours
- Sunday morning presence to support worship and parish hospitality
