TRITAN Group has partnered with an Alberta-based property management firm to hire an accounting professional for its Calgary team. My client is a mid‑sized commercial property manager growing its accounting team. The company has seen significant growth opportunities and is seeking someone who can grow into a senior‑level property accountant role.

Roles and responsibilities
  • Responsible for the accounting and financial management of 8 – 10 commercial properties
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
  • Generate and maintain monthly reports on inventory levels, including reporting inventory levels and issues to the business.
  • Perform month‑end duties, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Invoicing, payroll and year‑end tax responsibilities
  • Complete monthly cheque runs, EFT/PAP submission,
  • GST and other governmental remittances
  • Complete monthly Create invoices for tenant chargebacks and monthly utility invoices
  • Review and enter new leases or amendments into property management software.
  • Complete management fees and intercompany billings
  • Annual CAM and Tax recovery reconciliation and billing to tenants
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years of accounting experience
  • Full‑cycle accounting experience is a major asset
  • Property Accounting experience preferred
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Yardi, JDE, Quick Books
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with complex transactions,
  • Detail‑oriented with the ability to multitask,
  • Good organizational skills and a strong work ethic
