Accounting Student Opportunity – Tax Season Role

Gain hands‑on experience in personal and corporate tax, work directly with a CPA, and build real‑world skills during tax season.

We are a growing CPA firm in Calgary looking for accounting students to join our team during tax season. This role is designed as a learning opportunity where you will gain hands‑on exposure to real tax files, professional workflows, and CPA firm operations.

• How personal and corporate tax returns are prepared
• How to work with real client financial documents
• How to use professional tax and accounting software
• How CPA firms organize and review files
• How to identify and flag issues instead of guessing

• Inputting tax slips into tax software
• Organizing and labeling client documents
• Comparing current year information with prior year
• Downloading CRA carry forward information
• Assisting with bookkeeping cleanup
• Following firm checklists and procedures

• Is currently studying accounting
• Pays attention to details and double‑checks work
• Is comfortable working with numbers and Excel
• Asks questions instead of guessing
• Is available during tax season (Feb–Apr)

  Competitive hourly wage
• Potential to become permanent after tax season
