As leaders in the Construction Industry our resume includes a myriad of projects ranging from small facility renovations to commercial/industrial complexes, aviation hangars, recreation and sports facilities, educational institutions, and high‑rise buildings.
The Role Responsibilities- Vendor set up, vendor maintenance and WCB exception reporting
- Daily cash receipts and cash clearing, scheduled bank runs, weekly cash reports, monitoring cash balances and monthly bank reconciliation
- Complete monthly/quarterly/annual GST and other government reporting
- Perform Depreciation Run, Asset set up and Disposal, and asset reconciliation and analysis
- Prepare AR invoices related to rent and other intercompany billing
- Perform month‑end and year‑end financial close processes, which includes monthly accruals, general ledger account reconciliation, intercompany balance reconciliation, and posting journal entries
- Prepare monthly working papers and analyze General ledger account balances
- Prepare monthly and quarterly internal management reports and perform variance analysis
- Assist in year end audits and tax file preparation
- Support with ad hoc reports, audits, projects, and other duties as required
- Can handle reception back up duties (lunch and break coverage)
- Good understanding of Canadian accounting standards and working knowledge of GST and corporate tax regulations
- 3‑5 years’ full‑cycle accounting experience
- A Post‑secondary degree in Accounting
- Self‑motivated, team player, strong analytical skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills and experience in an ERP environment
- Appetite for creating efficiencies and improvements
- Experience in the Construction, Engineering, or Property Development industries
- Experience with Viewpoint Vista software
