Job :
About the role:Our private client in the building material industry is seeking a General Accountant to join their team. This role will be reporting into the Accounting Manager and be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
Responsibilities- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Perform account reconciliations and support month‑end close
- Prepare financial statements and reporting schedules
- Reconcile bank accounts and monitor AP/AR activity
- Assist with budgeting, audits, and financial analysis
- Degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- Completion of Post‑Secondary Degree/Diploma in Business, Finance or Accounting
- Experience with MS Excel is a strong asset
- Must have experience working with accounting software
- Must be able to work in the office
