Accounting Technician

We’re looking for an experienced Accounting Technician to join our growing public practice team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a variety of clients, values accuracy and accountability, and thrives in a collaborative professional environment.

• Prepare financial statements and corporate tax returns in accordance with firm standards for clients across multiple industries, including non‑profit organizations
• Prepare personal income tax returns, as well as trust, estate, and information returns (e.g., T4 and T5 slips)
• Participate in audit engagements as a team member
• Communicate professionally with clients, government agencies, partners, and internal team members
• Keep partners and team members informed on progress, deadlines, and key issues
• Support and mentor junior staff through training and ongoing guidance

• 3–5 years of experience in public practice
• Hands‑on experience with Caseware
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple files and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Bookkeeping experience (strongly preferred)
• Experience with Taxprep, iFirm, and Microsoft Office is an asset
