Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis, with the potential for permanent placement for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills and be ready to hit the ground running. This role involves managing full-cycle accounting responsibilities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll preparation, journal entries, and reconciliations.

We seek a candidate with excellent communication skills who thrives in a collaborative team environment. The ability to remain friendly and approachable while effectively juggling multiple deadline-driven tasks is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key job functions are:

• Enter revenue for sales and donations
• Process semi-monthly payroll
• Assist in preparing month-end general ledger reconciliations
• Support audit preparation as needed
• Conduct GST reconciliations and file quarterly returns
• Assist with annual T3010 charity reporting
• Provide periodic reporting on grant revenue usage
• Aid in annual AGLC reporting and related general ledger entries
• Assist in annual budget preparation and quarterly forecasting
• Manage full-cycle accounting and general journal entries
• Help produce and distribute T4, T4A, and T4A-
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, preference given to those having or working towards a CPA designation.

Experience:

• 5+ years experience in a full-cycle Accounting role is required
• Previous experience working for a non-profit organization is a strong asset

Base Salary:$60,000 – 70,000 per year

• Salary based on experience

Work Hours:

• 40 hours per week
• Flexible working hours (must be able to work during core hours of 10:00am – 2:00pm)

• This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
