GL Accountant (Maternity Leave Position)

By joining Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (RCR), you will become part of a passionate and dedicated team that works together to provide our guests with the best vacation and recreation experience possible.

Your Responsibilities
  • General ledger reconciliations
  • Deferred revenue
  • Daily bank reporting, bank reconciliations and payment balancing
  • Bank deposits and electronic payment receipting
  • Miscellaneous revenue, petty cash and promotional item reconciliations
  • Foreign currency transactions and reporting
  • Cost of sales and inventory accounting
  • Inter-company accounts receivable
  • GST, PST and hotel tax reconciling and remittance
  • Month‑end financial reporting and assisting in financial statement preparation
  • Strata and utility corporations – full‑cycle accounting
  • Property and rental management – internal and external reporting
  • Preparation of journal entries
  • Providing statistical information and monthly reports
  • Providing responses to and reconciling credit card chargebacks
  • Cross‑training with other team members for holiday and sickness coverage
  • Miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned
You
  • Are enthusiastic and passionate about skiing and outdoor adventure
  • Possess excellent time‑management, organization and multi‑tasking skills
  • Thrive during busy periods and maintain the ability to work well under pressure and meet or exceed deadlines
  • Are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrate a pleasant and professional demeanor
Required Experience
  • Relevant degree or diploma
  • Self‑starter with ability to work in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment
  • Knowledge of ACCPAC is an asset
  • 2–5 years relevant work experience
