We are hiring for a full‑time Associate Accountant to join our Stride Capital – Lease Accounting Team.

Employment Status: Full‑time temporary, 37.5 hours per week

Additional Information: Preferred candidate located in Calgary. This is an in‑person role requiring full‑time work at the Stride Capital office in SW Calgary. This is a 6‑month temporary assignment.

• MS Office (Excel/Word):
  Basic skills – copy/paste, basic formulas, formatting, saving, track changes, basic hyperlinks, sort, filter, group, spell/grammar check, views, protection.
• Microsoft Outlook:
  Basic skills – email, book meetings, file email, book resources, use task lists, notes, view other people’s calendars, etc.
• Work within deadlines.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Work well with others inside or outside the department.
• Work independently or in a team environment.
• Detail oriented and maintain a high‑quality standard of work.
• Understand and apply corporate policies.
• Understand change and the reasons for it.

• 2+ years working within an accounting team, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working toward an accounting certificate or diploma is an asset.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills – understanding of PC, file management, internet usage, etc.
• Willingness and aptitude to learn.
• Basic investigative skills to complete work, including identifying variances, researching items within various computer systems, and answering questions.
