About the Role

We are seeking a full-time, on-site Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries and financial statements, and managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining the highest level of accuracy while collaborating closely with internal team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record and maintain daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expenses
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and year-end closing
  • Support payroll processing and tax-related filings as required
  • Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal team members regarding financial matters
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of financial data and records
Must-Have Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Quick Books, Xero) and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience managing daily transactions and reconciliations
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Must be located within commutable distance to Calgary, Alberta
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Quick Books, Xero, and Excel
  • Experience with Canadian accounting standards and compliance
  • Familiarity with GST/HST, payroll deductions, and year-end processes

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Calgary, Alberta. Candidates must be located within commutable distance.
