We are looking for a Supervisor for our Not for Profit (NPO) Assurance Group—This is a role where your expertise will drive meaningful outcomes, and your ambition will help shape what comes next. Our role:

As a Supervisor specializing in our NPO Assurance Group, you will provide assurance services tailored to the unique needs of nonprofit clients across Alberta. You’ll join our audit team and participate in all aspects of client service, including the full cycle of engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and execution of assurance engagements including preparation of financial statements under Canadian accounting standards for not-for-profit organizations and applicable tax filings such as T1044 and T3010’s.
  • Prepare working papers and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm policies and professional standards.
  • Review junior staff’s work for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to firm policies and professional standards, offering constructive feedback and coaching to foster professional growth.
  • Respond to inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and professionally, while adhering to firm policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to build technical skills and knowledge of NPO audit requirements.
  • Support various projects and administrative tasks assigned by managers and partners.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient internal processes and contribute to a positive team environment.

Required

Skills and Qualifications
  • University degree in business, commerce, accounting or finance
  • Completion of the CPA program (or equivalent) or CPA student
  • Experience with audit or review of not-for-profit organizations is an asset
  • Previous experience in public accounting

Monday to Friday

Working Conditions:

You will be expected to work in an office environment. During peak periods, there might be a requirement to work overtime to meet project deadlines and support team needs.
