Our Calgary office is currently seeking a full-time experienced Accounting Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be a career-focused individual that is excited to join a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial firm.
The Role- Calculate and prepare corporate year end files, corporate and personal tax returns, and other services including T4, T5, and GST for clients
- Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements
- Other accounting, data entry, and client service functions as needed.
- 3+ years of experience in an Accounting Technician role in public practice, including preparation of Compilation financial statements and T2 tax returns
- Recent experience with Caseware, Microsoft Office, and Tax Prep would be an asset
- Able to communicate effectively with our clients
- Able to prioritize workloads, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
