Overview

Position Title CDL Class B Dump Truck Driver / Operator

Position Summary Must have CDL Class

B. Clean MVR. Drives / operates truck equipped with dump body to transport and dump loose materials, such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, or asphalt. Ability to maneuver truck and properly back... Performs any and all other duties as necessary, but not otherwise specified.

• Record operating data such as products and quantities, gauge readings, and operating times, manually or using computers.
• Maintain proper maintenance of truck and distribute including tire pressure, fluid levels, etc.
• Communicate using 2-way radios and verbal communication
• Must be able to work nights, overtime, and weekends
• Ability to drive a manual transmission
• Other duties as assigned, not otherwise specified
• Operate and monitor equipment to ensure proper functioning

• Over 1-year verifiable DOT experience preferred
• CDL Class B with clean MVR
• Reading comprehension and ability to read maps
• Must be able to read maps and navigate around central Alabama
• Problem sensitivity and judgment in decision making
• Active listening and communication skills
• Ability to perform physical tasks listed (see Below)

• Sit: 10 Plus Hours
• Bend or Stoop: 30 Minutes
• Crouch:
  Rarely
• Carry: 1 Hour
• Walk or Stand: 4 Hours per Shift
• Climb in & out of truck:
  Multiple Times per Shift
• Frequently lift the following: 5-10 lbs. (15 Minutes), 10-20 lbs. (15 Minutes), 20-50 lbs. (15 Minutes), Over 50 lbs. – Rarely
