Safety Supervisor

Safety Supervisor – Direct Health and Safety support for the Montevallo & Brierfield locations.

Responsible for compliance with MSHA regulations including employee training, delivery, and documentation.

• Maintain records in accordance with company/location policy.
• Lead all accident and incident investigations for facilities in area of responsibility.
• Assist Health and Safety with reports to Workers’ Compensation and monitor claims.
• Assist Health and Safety with completion and submission of company and agency reports.
• Provide necessary documentation to Regional Safety Manager and Plant Manager to demonstrate personnel training.
• Train employees on relevant procedures, practices, and regulations.

• Perform routine inspections of site and equipment.
• Coordinate safety incentive recognition programs for consistency.
• Develop a system to periodically review and audit health and safety programs.
• Coordinate safety committee functions.
• Develop and deliver routine safety meetings.
• Assist in developing Job Safety Analysis Task Training checklist and work with managers to develop safe work procedures.
• Oversee site Safety Management System.

• Provide front‑end input for safety and compliance on all capital projects, equipment, or process changes.
• Ensure compliance and maintenance of company/site Industrial Hygiene program safety procedures.
• Implement and audit company safety standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.

• Knowledgeable of MSHA, DOT, and other federal/local laws.
• Ability to influence change with key personnel at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision
