RN Infection Prevention Coordinator

Overview

West Valley Medical Center is hiring for an RN Infection Prevention Coordinator. This role will be 50% infection prevention and 50% quality. The position is located in Caldwell, Idaho, a small-town environment with a big-city commitment to high-quality patient care.

This role will be 50% infection prevention and 50% quality.

Responsibilities include ensuring full compliance with all infection prevention and control standards. Acts as a backup and consultant for Employee Health matters and Worker’s Compensation injuries involving exposures. Provides oversight and ensures compliance with CMS Core Measures through daily, concurrent medical record review, staff education, and ongoing performance improvement.

What qualifications you will need:

• Registered Nurse
• Bachelor's degree
• 1 year of acute care experience required
• Recent experience in infection prevention preferred
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (CIC) Certified in Infection Control must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
