Job Details
Title: Material Buyer Procurement / Planning Coordinator
Location: Calabasas CA
Duration: 2+ Years
Shift: 08 AM – 05 PM
Pay: $45 - $52.87/hr.
- Manage quote requests and review supplier proposals
- Create purchase requisitions (PR) and oversee supplier and purchase order (PO) management
- Conduct price reviews and manage pricing accuracy, including:
- Ensuring Contract Manufacturer (CM) pricing is correct
- Reviewing and approving Purchase Price Variance (PPV)
- Transition materials from expense to direct material
- Execute Buy/Sell processes, ensuring material is where it needs to be when it needs to be there
- Manage prototype CM activities, ensure communication between R&D and the CM, and draw in the correct team members to resolve issues
- Review and approve PCB material ordering
- Bill of Materials (BOM) Management
- Perform BOM scrubs and implement resulting necessary actions
- Cost and Compliance
- Manage tariffs and ensure required approvals are granted and documented
- Maintain Columbo entries
- Oversee costing activities
- Add new suppliers as needed
- Project Lifecycle Support
- Coordinate end-of-project material disposition
- Act as liaison between Product Management and Trade Royalty teams, including new item additions and BOM updates
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Attend all Cross-Functional Team (CFT) meetings to provide material management updates and support

- 5+ years of experience in materials management, procurement, or supply chain operations
- Proven track record in supplier management, cost analysis, and ERP systems
- Email management and response time is essential to success
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field desired (or equivalent experience)
