Century Group is partnering with a real estate client who is seeking a Staff or Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $85,000 to $110,000 per year.
Job Description:
- Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of accounting and financial reporting for commercial properties
- Monthly review of all general ledger accounts and preparation of necessary adjusting journal entries in a timely manner
- Monthly review and posting of 'Gross Potential Rent' and associated rental revenue accounts
- Preparation of monthly budget variance reports/explanations
- Assist in the development, implementation and enforcement of operational accounting policies and procedures for the commercial properties managed by third parties (if applicable)
- Communicate daily with on-site commercial managers to retrieve necessary information and/or give direction to process accounting work
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel) and accounting software-Yardi
- Detail-oriented and great at multitasking
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 3 years' experience in property management accounting
