Group Financial Controller

We are seeking an experienced and driven Group Financial Controller to lead all financial functions across the business. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a senior, hands‑on role with responsibility for financial operations, reporting, controls, and insight.

• Lead day‑to‑day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and payroll
• Oversee AP and AR processes, ensuring invoices are accurate and processed on time
• Manage supplier payments and maintain an effective end‑to‑end payment cycle
• Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls to protect company assets and data integrity
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies
• Prepare consolidated financial statements for the business and Group entities
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
• Analyse financial performance, identifying risks, opportunities, and trends
• Provide clear financial insight and recommendations to the CFO and senior leadership team
• Support investment decisions, property acquisitions, and capital projects
• Manage, mentor, and develop a small finance team
• Work closely with senior leaders and external stakeholders to ensure effective financial operations and reporting

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• Significant post‑qualification experience in a senior finance or controller role
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience preparing financial statements
• Experience overseeing end‑to‑end finance operations
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience using ERP systems, ideally Net Suite or similar
• Proven ability to lead and develop a finance team
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
