🕒 Monday‑Thursday: 8:15am – 4:30pm
🕒 Friday: 8:15am – 3:00pm

A small, supportive independent school in Newport ერთმანედით seeks a dedicated Sports‑Focused Teaching Assistant to work with secondary‑aged pupils who present with challenging behaviour. This role is ideal for someone with a background in sports, coaching, or physical education, who understands how movement and structure can be powerful tools in supporting emotional and behavioural needs.

• Supporting pupils with challenging behaviour both in and out of the classroom
• Using sport and physical activity to build engagement and positive relationships
• Providing consistent, calm support as part of a small, experienced team
• Encouraging routines, resilience, and a growth mindset in learners

• ✅ Experience working with young people, particularly those with additional or behavioural needs
• ✅ A strong interest or background in sport/physical activity
• ✅ Confidence, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• ✅ A team player with a proactive and adaptable approach
