Setup Technician - Cadillac Area

Salary Range: $42,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

• Prepare and set up manufacturing equipment and machinery according to production specifications.
• Perform tool changes, adjustments, and alignments for various production runs.
• Calibrate and verify machine settings, including speeds, feeds, and temperatures, to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and test runs to validate setup accuracy and product quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical or operational issues during the setup process.
• Document setup procedures, parameters, and any modifications made for future reference.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure seamless transitions between jobs.

• Proven experience in machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) and various hand/power tools.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic issues on production equipment.
• Understanding of quality control principles and ability to perform first-piece inspections and adjustments.

• Experience with PLC programming or industrial automation control systems.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD software for reviewing or interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
• Previous experience with robotic systems or advanced collaborative robots.
