Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Qualifications Include
- Associates or technical college degree in an electronics-related field or related military or industrial experience or two years of related experience in the telecommunication technician field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in networking and telecommunication technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid Drivers License and satisfactory driving record
- Commercial Drivers License preferred or the ability to obtain
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Knowledge of applicable codes and safety
- Commitment to safe working practices and knowledge of safety policies/procedures
- Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
- Get Into Energy -- Energy Industry Fundamental 2.0 certification is a plus
- Monitor network performance and connectivity
- Perform regular maintenance checks to ensure network health
- Identify and troubleshoot network issues to minimize downtime
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and support for network equipment, including RF systems, multiplexors, routers, switches, and other telecommunication hardware
- Assist in the deployment of new network infrastructure and upgrades
- Provide knowledge and technical support to other team members and field operations
- Respond to network related incident and service requests promptly, emergency response outside normal work hours may be required
- Document all technical issues and solutions in a timely manner, including filing any external regulatory filings that may be required
- Analyze network traffic and performance in an effort to provide optimized, redundant, and reliable services
- Maintain detailed records of network configurations, changes, and incidents
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Work collaboratively with other departments that rely upon telecommunication services
- Work overtime including evening and weekend shifts in response to acute service needs
- Lift and manipulate needed equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally drive to installation locations
