Position: Lead Recreation Therapist - Therapeutic Recreation (Anaconda/Butte, MT)

Responsibilities
  • Ability to work remotely in assigned location / region
  • Ability to travel via personal vehicle or AWARE vehicle to designated cities / regions to meet with clients, staff and provide services
  • Experience in assessment and observational skills
  • Experience planning and implementing TR interventions to assist clients in increasing independence in lifestyle
  • Experience researching and applying evidence-based practices in TR
  • Experience supervising and overseeing TR programs and staffing
  • Design TR protocols, session plans and processes
  • Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, developmental, intellectual
  • Implements interventions that are sensitive to the client age, cultural background, stage of development, limitations of disabling conditions, skill and experience level
  • Document and evaluate services for efficiency and quality
  • Perform risk assessment and activity analysis to ensure safety of client
  • Ability to demonstrate and participate alongside client in order to assist in attaining identified personal goals and functional outcomes
  • Ability to advocate for the TRS as well as possess sound public speaking and presentation skills
  • Maintain assigned direct contact hours to caseload per week
  • Experience in creating reports, spreadsheets and auditing processes
  • Assist and facilitate TRS special events and activities annually as planned
  • Maintain TRS equipment and resources as well as place orders as needed for supplies and resources
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation which meets the standards of NCTRC
  • Completion of a NCTRC approved internship
  • Current CTRS with a minimum of 2-3 years in Recreation Therapy practice
