- While under direct supervision of the designated supervisor, performs routine duties for the protection, care, and supervision of adolescents.
- Administers assessment instruments and assists in the development of training programs for persons with mental health disabilities, with the goal of achieving maximum independence.
- Focuses on assisting in training programs that center on basic living skills, independent living skills, vocational skills, and academic skills, utilizing AWARE's Wraparound philosophy.
- Provides care and support to residents in a safe and comfortable home environment during the night watch shift, scheduled late evening through the morning.
AWARE residential night watch technicians earn $17.00 - $18.86 per hour with an additional $1.00 per hour stipend for shifts between the hours of 10 pm and 8 am.
RequirementsTalents, skills, and abilities:
- Computer literacy skills, including navigation, record-keeping, and basic computer usage for performance-based software and an electronic medical records system.
- Interpersonal oral and written communication skills to work as a team member, observe and report accurately, learn resident care methods, and follow oral and written instructions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, along with past employment experience.
- A valid Montana Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one, and an acceptable driving record.
- An acceptable criminal and protective services background check.
