Montana State University invites experienced management and entrepreneurship professionals to join the Jake Jabs College of Business & Entrepreneurship as Instructors. The role centers on delivering high-quality instruction at undergraduate and graduate levels and contributing to student success and academic excellence. Instructional assignments are contingent upon departmental needs and funding.
Duties and Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate management or entrepreneurship courses in in-person and/or online formats with engaging instruction.
- Merge course concepts with real-world applications and experiential learning to enhance student understanding.
- Collaborate with fellow Jabs College faculty on curricula and teaching methods.
- Deliver course content aligned with the Option’s and College’s broader curricular goals.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in management or entrepreneurship education.
- Act collegially and abide by University and College policies for faculty and student responsibilities; foster a welcoming learning environment.
- Attend or facilitate classes at listed times, with rare exceptions.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources, Entrepreneurship, Social Entrepreneurship, or other relevant fields.
- Ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in business management or entrepreneurship.
- Knowledge of current industry trends in areas such as HR, business communications, leadership, negotiation, sustainable business, nonprofit management, and entrepreneurship.
- Terminal degree in Management (Ph.D. or DBA) or a closely related field.
Non-tenure-track appointments may be part-time or full-time and vary in duration depending on department or program needs. Salary depends on the number of courses taught and appointment duration.
