Business Application Support Specialist – Bussum
We are looking for a Business Application Support Specialist to join our Data Team and provide hands‑on support for several key business applications. You will act as the primary point of contact for end users and ensure a smooth and reliable day‑to‑day experience.
The role focuses on supporting Microsoft Dynamics
, Share Point , and a portfolio monitoring / financial analysis tool
. The ideal candidate has a strong end‑user support mindset, understands core data and reporting concepts, and has practical experience with Power Automate and Power BI
. Basic SQL knowledge is helpful, but not the main focus of the role.
Application & End‑User Support
- Act as the first point of contact for end users across:
- Microsoft Dynamics
- Share Point
- Portfolio monitoring and financial analysis tools
- Resolve functional issues, usage questions, and access requests
- Investigate issues and coordinate resolution with internal technical teams when needed
- Ensure a stable, user‑friendly, and predictable experience across supported applications
Power Platform & Automation
- Design, build, and maintain Power Automate flows to support business processes and reduce manual work
- Maintain and improve existing automations, integrations, and workflows
Reporting & Data Support
- Support users with data‑related questions and reporting logic
- Perform basic data checks and investigations
- Write simple SQL queries when needed to validate or troubleshoot data issues
- Help ensure consistent and correct data usage across reports and applications
Business & Financial Context
- Support portfolio monitoring tools that require basic financial understanding (e.g. KPIs, financial statements)
- Act as a bridge between business, finance, and data teams
- Maintain clear documentation, user guides, and FAQs for applications, reports, and automations
- Identify recurring issues and proactively suggest improvements to workflows, reports, or application usage
- Support testing and user acceptance for system enhancements and new functionality
Required Skills & Experience
Power Platform & Technical Skills
- Experience in an application support, business systems, or data support role
- Hands‑on experience with Power Automate (building and maintaining flows)
- Experience creating, maintaining, or supporting Power BI reports
- Basic understanding of data concepts (data models, reporting logic, data quality)
- Basic SQL knowledge for troubleshooting or validation purposes
Business & Communication Skills
- Strong service‑oriented mindset with experience supporting end users
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, pragmatic way
- Comfortable working with business stakeholders, including finance or investment teams
- Well‑organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple support requests
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics and Share Point
- Basic understanding of financial concepts such as KPIs, performance metrics, and portfolio reporting
- Experience with the broader Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, governance, environments)
- Experience in financial services, private equity, or portfolio reporting environments
- Familiarity with ticketing or incident management tools
- Exposure to data platforms or reporting backends
