Salary: £43,108 PA Basic, OTE first year 57108

Signing Bonus: £5,000

Annual Bonus: £2,000

Holidays: 25 days plus Bank Holidays, increasing per year worked

As a VMT you will be responsible for carrying out general maintenance and repair work on the company's fleet of vehicles and trailers, ensuring that all vehicles are in safe working order. Your role requires you to execute repairs to the highest standards while conducting in‑depth engineering work and diagnostics. You should be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a close‑knit team.

It’s crucial that all repairs are performed in accordance with current Health and Safety legislation and company policies. Additionally, you will need to safely operate all relevant equipment, machines, and tools, and complete all associated documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

• Education to City & Guilds standard in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline.
• Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic in a similar role.
• Knowledge of vehicles, trailers, workshop plant, and equipment; ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems.
• Strong working knowledge of safety regulations, equipment handling and documentation practices.
• Strong communication skills, ability to multitask, meet key deadlines, and work under pressure.
• Optional: HGV C+E licence (Class
  1) and a current ADR licence.
