an exciting opportunity has arisen for a bank band 5 registered nurse to join west suffolk professionals at the west suffolk hospital to work on the general wards (trauma and orthopaedics, surgery, medicine and elderly).

please note:

-

  • we are looking to cover long days monday to friday however, we are flexible on the hours and would consider amended hours, if you wanted to work shorter shifts. There are very limited night shifts available.
  • west suffolk professionals are unable to support sponsorship roles on bank, as we are not able to offer guaranteed hours.
  • we are currently unable to support newly qualified rns on bank. However, you are more than welcome to apply, once you have completed a period of preceptorship.
  • if successfully interviewed, after checks are completed, you will need to be able to commit to a paid 5 day induction course.
main duties of the job

staff nurses are responsible for the delivery of care and the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of individual programmes of care. They are expected to take delegated responsibility in a given shift for a group of patients. With experience, they may be expected to take charge of the ward/department regularly in the absence of the sister/charge nurse.
