Salary

a341,877 per annum

Responsibilities
  • Be an active member of the production team, ensuring compliance with site procedures and maintaining the safe operation of site packing lines and warehouse to effectively and efficiently manufacture, store and despatch sugar products which meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Support the Shift Manager in day-to-day operations alongside operating a production line.
  • Operate the packing line, conduct start-up checks, product testing, and end-of-shift checks.
  • Accurately record all due diligence and other operational data as required.
  • Operate the lines CCPs and ensure compliance with the frequency of checks and recording.
  • Comply with site and business operational, health, safety & environmental and food safety procedures, work instructions and safe systems of work.
  • Carry out basic fault finding and problem solving, working with shift engineers to resolve.
  • Ensure the production and despatch plans are met to service customer requirements.
  • Escalate issues in a timely manner to Supervisor/Line Manager.
  • Demonstrate to auditors (internal & external) as well as customers the food safe manufacture of finished products.
  • Proactively identify, communicate and achieve continuous improvement.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards ensuring no food safety risk.
Skills, Knowledge & Competencies
  • Experience working within a FMCG environment, preferably food.
  • Experience of operating food packaging machinery - bag in box / form & fill / bag & stitch.
  • Awareness of HACCP and GMP practices.
  • Good communication skills including the accurate, legible recording of information.
