The Role
As a Production Operative
, you will play a key role in the manufacturing and assembly of high‑quality signage and POS products. This is a hands‑on workshop role involving cutting materials, applying graphics, operating tools and machinery, and assisting with general production tasks. You'll work both independently and as part of a team to ensure products are manufactured to the highest standard. Working hours are 40 hours per week (FTE), 8 am – 5 pm, with flexible working hours and part‑time hours available.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Cutting and preparing sheet materials using table saws and routers
- Operating a laminator and applying printed vinyl graphics to various substrates
- Assembling and finishing signage and POS products
- Weeding, taping, and applying self‑adhesive vinyl to rigid panels
- Working with acrylic, plastics, wood, aluminium, and other raw materials
- Using power and hand tools including drills, chop saws, mitre saws, line benders, sanders, and linishers
- Banner finishing using an industrial sewing machine
- Maintaining a clean and tidy workshop environment
- Packaging finished products securely for courier dispatch
- Supporting colleagues and assisting with additional tasks to meet production deadlines
As a Production Operative
, you will be reliable, hardworking, and comfortable in a practical, hands‑on environment, with strong attention to detail, the ability to follow production instructions and work safely with tools and machinery, excellent teamwork and communication skills, and the confidence to work independently. Desirable qualities include a forklift licence, experience in signage/manufacturing/woodworking, or an interest in developing technical production skills.
