We would love you to come and join our acute speech and language therapy team at Fairfield General Hospital. The role will have a mixed caseload working across stroke and medical wards. We are keen to pursue innovative treatments within SLT as well as be involved in research. We are looking for a like minded individual to come and join us.

All applicants must have a degree in Speech & Language Therapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the RCSLT.

You will provide assessment, treatment and management of adults with speech, language and swallowing disorders. Previous experience of working with adults would be an advantage but we are happy to take applications from Newly-Qualified Therapists.

• HCPC registration
• Degree in Speech & Language Therapy
• Member of RCSLT

• Demonstrates knowledge of specialist SLT assessment tools relevant to clinical area
• Demonstrates knowledge of appropriate therapeutic interventions relevant to the client group
• Experience working with public in another sphere

• Demonstrates good communication, negotiation and persuasive skills
• Demonstrates good analytical and reflection skills
• Able to handle sensitive situations
• Strong commitment to personal development
• Able to work on own initiative
