Healthcare Assistant

This Healthcare Assistant role at Elysium Healthcare's The Chimneys Clinic in Bury St Edmunds offers an opportunity to positively affect the lives of young women with mental health conditions. The role includes compassionate care, supporting recovery, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will join a supportive and inclusive team to provide care and support to individuals with a range of mental health conditions. Your responsibilities include participating in ward rounds, analysing behaviours, updating patient records, and assisting with personal care as needed. You may also be asked to drive for the service if you have a valid driving license.

Your day‑to‑day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene. You will also support with mindful practice, high engagement, and develop activities to aid recovery for each young woman.

The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 3‑4 days a week (including nights and weekends) for a total of 37.5 hours per week.

No specific qualifications are required; the role requires prior experience as a Healthcare Assistant and a caring, compassionate approach to working with individuals with mental health conditions.
