Care Support Worker

Overview

Care Support Worker role at Maplewood Independent Living in the Suffolk area. Driving with business insurance is required.

• Support clients to live as independently as possible in their own homes
• Accompany them to shopping and appointments
• Assist with daily tasks in the home, including meal preparation
• Assist with personal care
• Assist with medication
• Maintain clear and accurate records
• Ensure health, safety and well-being of service users and yourself
• Maintain regular and courteous contact with the branch manager

• Reliable with excellent work ethic
• Provide the highest standards of care and support
• Respect the individuality and confidentiality of service users
• Respect service users’ independence and wishes, and treat them with fairness and courtesy
• Adhere to strict health and safety standards for the health, safety and welfare of service users and themselves
• Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
• Have a valid driving licence, own transport with business insurance

• Previous experience is advantageous, however not essential as comprehensive training will be provided
• Excellent communication skills and good standard of spoken and written English
