Are you highly organised with excellent communication skills? We are looking for an efficient and proactive Emergency Department Personal Assistant to provide essential administrative support to our busy Emergency Department.
The post holder will provide a comprehensive range of secretarial, clerical & administrative functions to the Emergency Care team, including the Administration team and Ward Manager to co-ordinate administrative functions.
Main duties of the jobProvide a comprehensive personal assistant service to the Emergency Department team.
Work as an adaptable member of the Emergency Department providing cover for colleagues as appropriate.
To provide a comprehensive range of secretarial, clerical & administrative functions to the Emergency Care team, including the Administration team and Ward Manager to co-ordinate administrative functions to ensure all tasks are carried out within agreed timescales.
Aid in the completion of daily ED Performance and Ambulance data
To support the team in communicating with Human Resources to track and facilitate timely recruitment and establishment detail.
Assist with rostering of Administration team on Healthroster and ensuring appropriate 24/7 shift cover.

Person Specification Education & Qualifications- Minimum of 5 'O levels/ GCSE, including Maths and English, or equivalent
- RSA Stage II or equivalent
- ILM First Line Management or equivalent
- Previous experience in secretarial or administration work.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Good knowledge of spreadsheets, databases (Access, Powerpoint), various presentation packages, management information systems
- Experience of working in the NHS or similar health environment.
- Able to work with a high level of accuracy.
- Good organisational and planning skills to ensure work is appropriately prioritised and completed.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Minute taking.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Methodical and precise approach.
- Helpful, courteous and professional attitude
