Mechanical Fitter (Raft Fitter)

Barton Under Needwood, Staffordshire

Contract (6 months min).

Hours:

7am – 4pm Monday to Thursday and 7am – 1pm Friday.

Own transport recommended due to location.

Our Client based in the Burton on Trent area are looking for Mechanical Fitters for an ongoing contract.

Experienced HGV fitters / Heavy Plant Fitters with Hydraulic experience.

• Have a good understanding of vehicle mechanical interfaces and repair vehicle components.
• Install / repair hydraulic systems.
• Fault find and carry out diagnostic investigations.
• Possess previous engine knowledge (advantageous).
• Overhaul raft components.
• Understand schematic drawings.
• Undertake training as required.
• Work within realistic time frames.
• Mentor trainees / apprentices when applicable.
• Ensure waste is disposed of correctly.
• Adhere to written or verbal instructions.
• Subject to a Drugs & Alcohol test.
