We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our care home team, specialising in senior care and assisted living. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the management team to deliver high-quality care, ensuring the well‑being of residents, particularly those requiring dementia and Alzheimer’s care. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in nursing, home care, or senior care management to contribute to a compassionate and professional environment.
Duties- Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Supervise and support care staff, providing leadership and guidance to maintain high standards of care.
- Contribute to the development and review of personalised care plans, including specialised dementia and Alzheimer’s care programmes.
- Administer medication in accordance with prescribed protocols, ensuring safety and accuracy.
- Monitor residents’ health and well‑being, responding promptly to any changes or concerns.
- Organise staff rotas, ensuring adequate cover for all shifts while maintaining optimal staffing levels.
- Support staff training and development programmes to uphold best practices in nursing and senior care.
- Ensure the environment remains safe, clean, and welcoming for residents, visitors, and staff.
- Liaise with families and healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for residents.
- Proven experience working within assisted living or nursing home environments, ideally with a focus on dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
- Demonstrable supervisory or management experience within a care home or similar setting.
- Knowledge of care planning processes and medication administration protocols.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team of carers and healthcare professionals.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to senior care, including safeguarding procedures.
- Experience in managing complex cases involving dementia or other cognitive impairments is highly desirable. This role is ideal for compassionate leaders committed to delivering exceptional standards of elderly care within a supportive team environment.
