CMM Service Engineer | £50,000
A specialist engineering business within the precision metrology and CMM service sector is seeking an experienced CMM Service Engineer for a highly technical, hands‑on role.
This is not a standard field service position
. The role suits engineers who enjoy deep fault‑finding, component‑level repair, and understanding how machines truly work.
- Component‑level electronics repair experience
- Strong IT skills, with some exposure to programming or scripting
- High mechanical aptitude and confidence stripping and rebuilding machinery
- CAD experience to design, adapt, or reverse‑engineer parts
- Practical CMM service and metrology experience
- A self‑motivated engineer who enjoys learning and tinkering outside of work
If your experience is limited to routine servicing or board swapping, this role is unlikely to be the right fit.
