Location: Training onsite in Burr Ridge or Harvey, IL (2–3 weeks), then fully remote

Type: Contract to Hire

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Pay Range: $21-23/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking skilled Accounts Receivable Representatives to join our Medicare and Home Health/Hospice team within Patient Financial Services. This role focuses on Medicare A/R follow-up, denials management, and collections. Candidates must bring strong Medicare knowledge and experience, with additional preference for Homecare & Hospice expertise for select openings.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely and accurate A/R follow-up for Medicare accounts.
• Investigate and resolve claim denials and underpayments.
• Work with payors to ensure prompt and accurate reimbursement.
• Collaborate with managers, supervisors, and other team members to resolve complex billing issues.
• Document account activity and maintain compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

Required:

• Medicare billing, denials, and collections experience.
• EPIC system experience.
• For the Homecare & Hospice role: direct experience with Homecare & Hospice billing is required.

Preferred:

• Hospital Billing (HB) experience;
  Professional Billing (PB) also considered.
• Familiarity with HB payor processes.
