The Financial Analyst supports the Financial Controller with a broad range of finance, accounting, and reporting/administrative activities. This position will be based out of our brand new FPT North America Headquarters in Burr Ridge, Illinois.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and support month-end close activities
  • Prepare and analyze monthly reports (Flash/Causals/BE, SG&A Functional spending)
  • Handle monthly accruals, intercompany recharges, and other accounting entries
  • Manage monthly inventory reconciliation, monitoring and reporting processes
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable on clearing intercompany and third-party invoices
  • CAPEX accounting management and project preparation
  • Prepare and certify monthly Blackline journal and account reconciliations
  • Assist with forecast/budget preparation, financial consolidation, and variance analysis
  • Consolidate and distribute monthly reporting from various systems (SAP, Tiger, Fox, FSGA, etc.)
  • Analyze financial variances against budget, forecast, and prior years
  • Identify and implement process improvements, develop financial models, and analyze system enhancements
  • Support Sales and Engineering with purchase order preparation, ensuring compliance with company and finance policies
  • Prepare process documentation for internal and external audits
  • Handle ad hoc reporting and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (required)
  • CPA, or MBA (preferred)
  • 5+ years of professional experience in financial analysis, accounting, reporting, data modeling
  • Extensive accounting experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Power Point
  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Enthusiasm for process improvement
