Overview
Position Overview:
The Shift Leader is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the store in partnership with the General Manager or the Assistant General Manager. The Shift Leader ensures the team understands goals, expectations, products, cleanliness, new directives and guest connections during the shift.
- Demonstrates mastery of the DOING of Team Member with enthusiasm and excellence
- Lead shifts focused on team engagement and guest satisfaction with a commitment to Make Fun Happen
- Think strategically about maximizing product sales and waste management
- Demonstrate total store vision and ownership of the store’s look and feel
- Be knowledgeable about the deployment for the day and the roles and responsibilities
- Communicate effectively on the floor during the shift
- Anticipate the needs of the team and guests and address situations before they become problematic
- Understand multiple shift priorities and effectively communicate and delegate objectives and tasks
- Take ownership for the current shift and the shift that follows
- Ensure the team executes SOP and quality standards consistently
- Coach and give feedback to team members to bring their best DOING and BEING to their role
- Train the team on role responsibilities, product knowledge and promotions
- Perform administrative tasks with integrity and completion (e.g., bank deposits, inventory, store product orders)

Required:
- At least 1 year of leadership, restaurant, retail or customer service experience, or properly trained and approved by Caribou Coffee to assume Shift Leader responsibilities
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
The physical requirements for this position include hearing, speaking, seeing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for 4 to 8 hours, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Compensation Range: $12.75 - $21.25 per hour
Starting pay is subject to Local and State Minimum Wage regulations. Ranges reflect what the employer reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for such position.
