Evening Supervisor for Book Processing Department Mackin Educational Resources, a leader in serving K-12 schools with print and digital media, is seeking a Part-time or Full-time Evening Shift Supervisor for our Processing department. The Processing department is responsible for accurately and efficiently applying plastic protective book coverings, labels, pockets and other miscellaneous materials to books and non-print materials.
Requirements- Strong managerial and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal communications skills, verbal and written
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of efficiency
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Ability to motivate others in a team-oriented environment
- 1+ years supervisory experience required
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Post high school education preferred
- Work with the Processing manager and Co-Evening Shift Supervisor to direct employees and coordinate the day-to-day operations
- Ensure product quality and quantity goals are met daily
- Oversee the training and development of employees on job skills
- Monitor and evaluate performance through reviews and positive reinforcement
- Manage personnel problems/concerns effectively through coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action when needed
- Communicate with other departments to ensure proper staffing
- Make decisions and solve problems in a fast pace environment
- Part-time Evenings, Monday – Friday, 4pm – 10pm and Saturdays during the day as needed
- Full-time Evenings, Monday – Friday, 2pm – 10pm and Saturdays during the day as needed
$17.00 to $19.00, depending on experience
