Mechanical Design Engineer

We’re looking for a Design Engineer with a passion for product development to join our growing team in Burnsville, MN. In this role, you’ll help bring innovative products to life by developing creative mechanical solutions, building functional prototypes, and guiding designs from concept through production.

You’ll work closely with a collaborative, cross-functional team and play a key role in projects that require both creative thinking and practical engineering execution.

• This position is on-site in Burnsville, MN, five days per week
• Candidates must be within commuting distance
• 4+ years of relevant design engineering experience required

• Design and develop products using Solid Works
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to ensure efficient production
• Develop and prototype mechanisms and assemblies
• Work with materials including wood, metal, and plastics
• Manage projects from concept through production
• Collaborate with engineering, prototyping, and manufacturing teams
• Communicate design intent through 3D CAD, 2D sketches, and documentation

• 4+ years of mechanical or product design engineering experience
• Advanced 3D CAD skills, especially Solid Works and PDM
• Strong experience with DFM and prototyping
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• High level of initiative, accountability, and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

• Experience in juvenile or pet industry consumer products
• Mechanical Engineering degree
• FEA experience
• Experience with fabric and soft goods development
• Understanding of electronics integration
• IT knowledge
