Our Sensors Test Engineering team in Burnsville Minnesota is seeking an Electrical & Electronics Engineer to join our team of experienced engineers and technicians supporting production. As a member of our team, you will lead in developing, building, troubleshooting, and integrating innovative test solutions supporting commercial and military and defense sensor products. In this role, you will be exposed to a wide variety of test solutions at various stages of their life cycle.
A successful candidate will be a fast learner with the ability to respond to requests efficiently. Day-to-day activities includedesigning and developing test hardware such as cables, power distribution boxes, circuit card assemblies, switch matrices, troubleshooting test solutions, and updating documentation.
- You will assist in researching, developing, designing, and testing electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks as well as resolving day-to-day technical problems by troubleshooting electrical devices problems on the production line.
- You will gain knowledge in analyzing and evaluating new or improved electronic components.
- You will assist in providing guidance for engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- You will complete drawings, designs, electrical schematics, and wire list / BOMs as required.
- Performs engineering work and applied research, development, and design for new products to ensure quality standards and functional objectives are met.
- You will work in a collaborative team environment and be able to communicate effectively with engineers, operators, and technicians.
- You will troubleshoot and resolve electrical devices problems and day-to-day technical problems on the production lines to minimize disruption to production.
- You will design major components or major portions of functional systems, technically advanced prototype test systems, and promotional or specific products using computer design and engineering systems.
- You will develop supporting data and makes layouts, sketches, and notes for design proposals to leadership.
- You will gain knowledge to adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. Designs electrical equipment, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
- You will learn the life cycle development of aerospace products and test systems in a manufacturing environment.
- You will learn how to identify and propose modernization of test equipment conducting independent research and analyses.
- You will learn to work as a team to solve the most difficult problems in manufacturing design.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Strong understanding of Electronics and Electrical design.
- Familiarity with CAD modeling software, preferably Solid Works or Creo.
- Hands‑on mentality with a curiosity to understand how components interact in a system.
