Job DescriptionAs a Test Engineer, you will perform tasks across all product test stages from requirement definition and test planning to final qualification approval. Your primary goal is to ensure that fabricated mechanical components or electrical assemblies meet customer requirements through a thorough testing process. You will engage in a full lifecycle product qualification, including plan development, procedure development, test conduct, and report development.
Responsibilities- Test systems and components to ensure they meet customer needs and requirements.
- Conduct qualification tests methodically according to test procedures, analyze and interpret results, and document requirement failures necessitating product design changes.
- Identify the necessary test equipment required to thoroughly test the products.
- Formulate effective regression test efforts following a product design change.
- Estimate the budget and scope of proposed qualification test efforts.
- Prepare product reports and documentation.
- Engage in lifelong learning and develop new theories or methods.

Skills & Qualifications
- 2‑10+ years of experience in electro‑mechanical testing
- Experience with power testing
- Basic software capabilities within Linux and Python
- Proficiency in MS Office & Word for documentation
- Experience in communications systems racking and telecom
- Familiarity with testing tools and executing some testing
- Experience in testing mechanical structures and electrical components, connectors, and wiring/cabling power and transmission (Ethernet, Fiber, and power)
- Knowledge of Mil‑Std regulations and qualifications from the Defense/Aerospace industry
- Consideration for candidates with EE or CS and ME degrees, or an experienced Testing Technician with an AA degree
The work environment offers a small company culture while working on large navy programs technology. You will spend 50% of your time doing hands‑on testing and lab documentation, which includes opening up cabinets to investigate issues. The remaining 50% of your time will involve technical writing of procedures and testing instructions, documenting outcomes/results, and establishing parameters of testing standards (pass/fail).
Job Type & LocationContract to Hire position based out of Burnsville, MN.
Pay & BenefitsPay range: $32.00 - $40.00/hr.
