Position OverviewLead in all matters pertaining to the organization and administration of coaching the Esports Club/Team.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Lead the Esports Team/Club, student activities, and activities director with hiring, development, and evaluation of assistant coaches as necessary.
- Plan and supervise the team to and from all events, practices, and competitions.
- Coordinate budget requests, spending, and fundraising with activities director and booster club.
- Enforce and model discipline and positive sportsmanship; establish penalties with head speech coach.
- Enforce MSHSL and ISD 191 rules as they pertain to the activity.
- Follow athletic department policy for ordering equipment, uniforms, and supplies.
- Assist Athletics Office in maintaining accurate records for MSHSL participation.
- Prepare and maintain a roster of all team members, including grade level, team level, and positions.
- Knowledge and background in the specific sport or activity.
- Knowledge of State, Federal, and ISD 191 school board policies regarding student conduct and disciplinary action.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with coworkers, parents, community members, supervisors, and students.
- Ability to receive feedback and adjust accordingly.
- Strong work ethic and dedication to student participation in co‑curricular activities.
- Ability to perform essential job functions.
- Knowledge of State, Federal, and ISD 191 school board policies regarding student conduct and disciplinary action.
