• Research and develop curriculum relevant to the classroom age group.
• Provide weekly plans to the Director and parents of the childcare program.
• Ensure implementation of age‑appropriate curriculum to nurture and stimulate the psychosocial, cognitive and cultural needs of the children.
• Report any staff or classroom concerns to the Director.
• Maintain attendance records, emergency forms, curriculum plans, individual child development profiles and other required records.
• Communicate with parents regarding child development issues, policies or other concerns.
• Secure health, hygiene, safety and overall well‑being of children at all times.
• Conduct parent‑teacher conferences twice per year.
• Complete ongoing assessments of children.
• Maintain confidentiality of staff and family records and information.
• Strictly comply with universal precautions in the classroom and while administering first aid.
• Directly supervise classroom aides and volunteers; report all necessary information to the center’s Director.
• Report daily needs and activities to the Director.
• Maintain attendance and daily meal count.
• Maintain daily program schedule.
• Supervise health and safety needs of every child.
• Conduct classroom and parent meetings.
• Keep classroom neat and orderly.
• Train and guide the assigned Assistant Teacher, Aide and/or Volunteer in activity planning and program implementation with input from the supervisor.

• Child Development or Teacher qualified under Minnesota Rule .
• Less than 1 year of experience.
• Current Pediatric CPR American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 days.

• Associate of Arts or Bachelor of Arts.
• 1–2 years teaching in a childcare center or early childhood program.

An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience and market conditions. Our organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
