Payroll, Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk, Accounting Manager
We are working with a manufacturing client in the South Metro adding an Accountant to their team. Ideal profile: someone who has worked for a smaller/medium sized company and has exposure to full-cycle accounting (A/P, A/R, month‑end, etc.) and is willing to assist with other duties as needed (Payroll entry, Benefits Administration, etc.).
Direct Hire. $70,000-$78,000 (based on experience). On-site (1x/week remote flexibility).
Key Responsibilities- Accounting & Finance
- Process vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely disbursements
- Assist with monthly close activities, including preparing payroll‑related journal entries
- Maintain up‑to‑date and compliant financial records in line with internal processes
- Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits
- Oversee company credit card usage and reconciliation processes
- Review vendor statements and resolve billing inconsistencies
- Payroll
- Administer payroll through ADP, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Prepare and record payroll journal entries
- Support compliance with payroll laws, tax reporting, and filing requirements
- Collaborate with outside payroll resources when necessary
- Human Resources Support
- Coordinate employee onboarding and separation workflows
- Oversee benefit administration tasks such as enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Maintain up‑to‑date employee files and support adherence to HR policies and regulatory requirements
- Provide HR administrative support and direct employee questions, with guidance from an HR consultant
- Office Administration
- Offer general administrative assistance and office support as needed
- Organize internal documentation, communication, and recordkeeping
- Partner with cross‑functional teams in a dynamic, fast‑paced setting
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (but not required)
- 3+ years of hands‑on accounting experience
- Solid understanding of accounting standards and operational best practices
- Payroll processing experience, including related accounting entries
- ERP experience required; familiarity with Epicor/Kinetic is a strong advantage
- Background in a manufacturing environment is preferred
