Discrete Event Simulation Research Engineer (KTP Associate)

Advanced simulation and digital technology

• Gain a good understanding of existing production processes and product flows within SAFRAN NACELLES.
• Simulate these processes using data from SAFRAN’s MRP (SAP) and MES systems.
• Create links to enable real time data from machines and manufacturing data; these automated data routines will increase simulation accuracy.
• Build on a successful pilot project to enable SAFRAN to expand DES to other areas of the business.
• Use advanced simulation and digital technology to optimise the SAFRAN production system, aiming for performance improvements and reducing costs.
• Strive to make further advances in Digital Manufacture by linking the DES system to real time data from Safran’s Manufacturing Execution System and key machines.
