Position: Covering Team Leader (Permanent)
Production Operative/Covering Team Leader

Burnley

Monday – Friday 8am-5pm (42.5 hours per week)

£31,890.30

Rapid Recruit are currently looking for a Cover Team Leader to join our client’s team in Burnley. The main role will be to support and assist the Team Leader, Senior Production Controller and Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

* Working as part of the production team, ensuring that the mixing apparatus is loaded with weighed out raw materials, monitored and packed goods are unloaded, palletised, and shrink wrapped.

* Use of FLT within the warehouse area will be required to move raw materials, packaging, and finished goods into and around the relevant storage locations, and the loading/unloading of vehicle deliveries as defined Team Leaders.

* There will also be picking, weighing and other machine monitoring tasks required on a daily basis, as well as active participation in all housekeeping functions.

* Ability to take instruction and guidance from managers and team leaders.

* Must be able to lead a small team of people.

* Effective communication skills, excellent quality of written and numeracy work, ability to supervise and co-ordinate team members.

* Current forklift truck licenses are advantageous, full on the job training will be given for this post.
